Watching Willow Watts and Awards

Book Launch:
One country girl is about to discover that fame can cost a fortune.

Talli Roland’s Watching Willow Watts is now available in ebook format. The paperback will be coming out in November. I bought a copy for my kindle last night and am already halfway through. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I love the characters. They're all interesting and different. I love the escalating predicaments. I love that the story is set in the 'ugliest village in Britain'. Even my inner editor has stayed silent while reading this story and I love that.

Awards:
Thank you to Maeve Frazier for the Versatile Blogger Award.

Thank you to Gail Shepherd for the Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award.

Thank you to Nancy Thompson for the 7x7 Link Award. For this award I’m supposed to link to what I feel is the most beautiful, popular, controversial, helpful, surpassingly successful, underrated and prideworthy posts. A daunting task to say the least. And so I decided to link to my favourite post which covers most of these: 14 Lies We Tell Ourselves about Writing

Have you read or plan to read Watching Willow Watts?
What lies do you tell yourself about writing?

Congrats on the award. It's really a nice one (I've already received it) that lets us showcase previous posts). I've read some really great that I'd missed earlier.

Yes, I plan to read WWW. Great list of writer lies. What's my lie? I can only write in the morning. But I've gotten over that one.

Elizabeth Mueller said...

Congrats on the new release! I don't think I tell myself lies, but I do give myself words of encouragement. Is that the same? :)

I'm halfway through Willow Watts. And I also read The Hating Game. That was a great story and one I can see being made into a Rom Com movie.

ooo, I have it on my Kindle right now, and I can't stand it. But it has to wait... other MSs in line ahead of it~ :D <3

Thanks again for the comments. I really appreciate them.

Angelina, yep, I used to use that lie too ;)

Elizabeth, depends what kind of words of encouragement you use eg if you tell yourself you are so awesome that you don't need to edit your first draft, then that would be a lie ;)

LTM, yep, my reading list is enormous too.

Congrats to Talli, and congrats on the awards. The biggest lie I tell myself when writing is "you'll finish it one day" :P

Thanks for linking to that post. It was from before I followed you so I hadn't read it before. I may be guilty of a couple :-)

Jamie, you made me laugh at your biggest lie. I used to have that one. Then I gave myself schedules and goals and deadlines.

Sarah, oh great! I'm glad. I'm definitely guilty of more than just a couple ;)

Michael, I look forward to your review :)

Carol, seriously. My silly inner editor usually won't shut up.

Laila, hahaha I love it.

Thanks again to everyone who has commented.

Hi Lynda! CONGRATS on all your awards!

Congrats on your awards! I have certainly been guilty of that first writing lie (and the others at some point I am sure). It's so hard for me to just sit down and MAKE myself write, no matter how I feel at the time. But I should do it more often because afterwards I feel so accomplished.

Again, thanks for the congrats and the support for Talli. You guys are all awesome.
