For the April A-Z Challenge I've written a short list of the good habits of successful writers. You can read it over at the Insecure Writer's Support Group.
Thanks: I recently won a kindle edition of Melting the Ice Queen's Heart. A big thanks to Amy Ruttan, the author, and to Nas Dean at Romance Book Haven. I'm looking forward to reading it.
Project update: As some of you know, I've taken on a huge non-writing project while I'm still writing. I'm not ready to say exactly what this project is until I have something to show for it. However, I'm still super excited, I'm learning heaps, and I'm re-learning heaps more. I'm sorry I haven't been around as much. I hope you'll all understand. I'm still popping around when I can, though.
What have you been up to recently? Has the A-Z challenge kept you busy?
I hope to see you over at the IWSG to check out the good habits of successful writers.

Really curious about the project. A gaming project?
Sounds like the project is fun and challenging. Hopping over to IWSG.
I believe writers need to develop good habits. It would make writing much easier...
sounds exciting!
Your project sounds very exciting. Good luck with it!
Congrats on your new project!
Sounds like a project you are surely excited about
I just won something Nas's blog, too! We are lucky this month, I guess. And you have a project to look forward to. A truly happy April.
Great post today at IWSG. Can't wait to hear about your project.
Very, but that's the fun of it. :)
Didn't enter A to Z this year, and it's good, given all the drama I went through these past few weeks.
Best of luck with your mystery project. :-)
Ah, you know me too well! ;)
Very on both counts
So true!
It is!! Thanks, Dezzy.
I need as much luck as I can get
Thanks, Robin
super dooper excited, but it's sending me a little insane at the same time ;)
Ha! Congrats to you too. I think I'll call it Awesome April.
Thanks, Susan
yes indeedy
Yikes. It sometimes happens that way. Wishing you less drama and more smooth sailing.
Ooh, I'm curious about this project. And I'll hop over and check out your other post now. Maybe I'll figure out what I'm doing wrong. :P
I'm a wee bit envious. A-Z is very demanding, and I'm wondering if it's worth it. Plus, I'd love learning new things on a non-writing project! Have a great time and I can't wait until you share with us. :)
My head is spinning trying to keep up with everyones A-Z!
Hi Lynda, I am eager to know what your non-writing project is. Will hop over to the IWSG site for your post on good habits of successful writers.
Hi Lynda!
I also won a book over at Nas's place! A paperback!
That mystery project sounds so exciting! Have fun!
And I like your emphasis on reading for your H-post at the IWSG site.

Oh, how intriguing: Your mystery project sounds ...cool!
Congrats on the win. I do love winning books. X

I've been having a lot of fun with the Challenge. It certainly does keep my busy with reading blog posts and commenting on as many as I can, but I've gotten into a groove now so it doesn't take me all day. haha
My goodness, I totally understand you not being around much. I hope your non-writing project is turning out exactly how you want it, and that it showers you with cheese. =)
I want to know about this top secret writing project! Good luck keeping up with it all.
Congratulations on the win! And yay! For the new *top secret* project!
Sounds like you've got a lot of creative fun happening - that's the best!! Enjoy :)
I should've added a point about being patient ;)
It's why I didn't do a full A-Z this year. It IS very demanding. Lots of fun too though.
hehehe, I know what you mean!
I will reveal all in good time! (Unless you can't wait, then shoot me an email)
Congrats to you too!!
I put such an emphasis on reading because it's importance is often underestimated.
Thanks, Shah
Glad you've found the groove. It can take a while to find sometimes.
Brie... or an aged cheddar... or a Blue Brie!!!
Thanks so much, Crystal.
Pop me an email and I'll tell you all about it.
Thanks so much!!
It truly is lots of fun and challenging and awesome. All at the same time. Thanks, Jemi.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm neither a ghost believer nor a debunker. I just enjoy tales of the supernatural ever since I was a kid and watched Twilight Zone and Night Gallery. :)
This project sounds exciting and I can't wait to read about it.
Yes, A to Z is keeping me very busy.
A new project? Congrats! And thank you so much for visiting!
A to Z is great! Oh, and I just finished writing a story to submit for kids, 7 to 10 years old. Will have to let it rest for a few days before I submit it, though. :-) And I hope to have my first YA novel available soon.
Yes! How about all three.
I'm wondering if your new project has something to do with video. Telling a story through a moving medium.
Ooo, a msyertious project...what tension:) You must be an author;) My non-writing project is my garden and my son...mostly my son:)
I'm working on a 2-year-old WIP and I've just reached 84,700 words. I want so much to finish this book, but I've stretched my ability and it's quite hard work. Which is good. I like a challenge.
I know what the proooooooject is .... :) :) :)
Don't worry about not having been around as much. Focus on the mystery project :)
More busy than usual, I'm guessing
I'm impressed you managed to find the time to finish a story during the A-Z. Good luck for when you submit it.
Yep, there is still storytelling. I can't seem to move away from that aspect. It's in my blood methinks.
Ha! There has been a strange rumour going around that I'm an author. Don't listen to everything you hear ;)
85k is great, Joylene! Best wishes to you for finishing your project.
Yes you do :)
I'm not sure you know all the details, though. Something you said sparked me into another direction. Did I share that? Hmmm...
Thanks, Blue. You know blue is one of my favourite colours?
I LOVED the Twilight Zone--both the old black and white reruns and the more 'recent' colour version. I don't think I ever got to see the Night Gallery though.
The project sounds very mysterious. Glad you're embracing it! But don't forget to read, lol!
Well, I was hoping it would be.
Your mystery project sounds quite intriguing. Can't wait to find out more!
Ha, I just finished reading two books.. (one about Tesla, the other about zombies). Now for the other gazillion more I'm in the middle of reading...
Thanks, Nicole. I'm looking forward to when I can say more :)
Hugs
you can whisper the mystery in my ear...I won't tell...like 2 out of 100 people :)
:)
whisper whisper whisper... got that? ;)
I like your thinking
Perfect name.
I think so too... if I do say so myself ;)
