Too busy eating cheese.
Crystal Collier, author of MOONLESS, is a former composer/writer for Black Diamond Productions. She can be found practicing her brother-induced ninja skills while teaching children or madly typing about fantastic and impossible creatures. She has lived from coast to coast and now calls Florida home with her creative husband, three littles, and “friend” (a.k.a. the zombie locked in her closet). Secretly, she dreams of world domination and a bottomless supply of cheese.
You can find her on her blog and Facebook, or follow her on Twitter.
Excellent suggestions, Crystal! Now to decide which one to use tonight...:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynda, for hosting!
LOL! Decisions, decisions.
DeleteI can relate to rather too many of these for comfort!
ReplyDeleteSo you put off making dinner too, eh?
DeleteLove the cheese bit!
ReplyDeleteI tend to do that as i make dinner, then get asked why I'm not that hungry when we sit down to finally eat!
But who can resist the cheese, right?
Deleteyou do know that piles of leaves usually hide kitten or dog poop, yes? :)
ReplyDelete*blink* *blink*
Delete...
*glare*
=)
lol, Dezzy. I take it you don't run amok through piles of leaves then ;)
DeleteI did a few times, before I learned my lesson and before I learned to read the smirks on my cats faces :)
DeleteYeah, they do smirk, don't they... and they plot our deaths when we sleep at night too.
DeleteI'm always looking for ways to cook faster or do something else while dinner is cooking like reading and writing blogs. Something like that.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate,
Shelly
eReaders are amazing just for that reason.
DeleteMmm, cheese. Now I want some.
ReplyDeleteHee hee hee... (She doesn't know. No, she hasn't figured out our little secret of slowly addicting the entire world to cheese...)
DeleteAwwwww love the kitty with the bug! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteYay for gorgeous Crystal! Take care
x
Ha ha! You're the LolCatz procrastinator, eh? ;)
Deletelol, I've definitely wasted a few hours on a few of these :) Major congrats to Crystal!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meradeth. They're just too awesome, all these amazing distractions, eh?
DeleteHahaha #4
ReplyDeleteApparently Charlie's brother tastes better. :P
Fun post! :D
He was searching for the cheese. ;)
DeleteI'm pretty sure I've done most of those. But that's what take-out is for! :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your book, Crystal!
Thank you, Emily. --And I agree. Take out was made for us! (Writers, that is.)
DeleteWho can resist the pup
ReplyDeleteYou'd have to be stone cold, right?
DeleteLynda, thank you so much for hosting me today. (Despite complications.) You are amazing.
ReplyDeletehehe, you are most welcome :)
DeleteSo cool! I may be guilty of all these.
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda!
Awesome!!!
DeleteThe pretty, pretty books get me time and time again.
ReplyDeleteMe too! But guess what!?! I discovered you can use...wait for it...AUDIO BOOKS while making dinner. *gasp*
DeleteThe last one is a great excuse! Wallace does know his cheese.
ReplyDeleteIt's all about the cheese. ;)
DeleteReading is definitely a great reason to leave dinner behind. My current Facebook game addiction is Royal Story. Hilarious list Crystal. Glad Lynda had you over.
ReplyDeleteMe too! She's pretty awesome like that.
DeleteReplace Farmville with Starcraft and we have my excuse.
ReplyDeleteStarcraft (and Warcraft) massive time sinks.
DeleteLOL! Here's the ironic thing. I don't actually play Farmville. My game of choice is Plants VS Zombies, but I guess that's an old trend. ;)
DeleteI tried Plant vs Zombies but I'm just not fast enough when everything gets chaotic on screen. Candy Crush is my current distraction.
DeleteThe pics were a riot! (Lurv Lolcats!) I've entered the giveaway - I'd love both the books - they sound so marvelous!:-)
ReplyDeleteHere's putting in a plug for you with the god of randomness. ;)
DeleteThat was an adorable post. Love the cat with the bug on it.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see it I just want to rub its fur while chanting, "Fuzzy."
DeleteLoved it. Captioning pictures is one of my most favorite (and fun) things to do, and Top Ten lists make it all the funner. Yes, funner. Thanks, both of you!
ReplyDeleteM.L. Swift, Writer
Why not funnerer? Or funnerest? ;)
Deletemy vote is for funnerer ;)
DeleteGreat ideas to make my husband order take out. Thanks! And congrats on your book.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! That's right. I'll take Chinese tonight, thanks.
DeleteCute post, Lynda! I could probably add to that list. My husband and I just had conversation about this topic yesterday. I am not fond of cooking! Thanks for the laughter!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks, Crystal and Lyn for giving me some chuckles. Oh-so-true. CHEESE for everyone!!
ReplyDeleteAre you buying? I'll bring the crackers. (Have to horde my own supply.) ;)
DeleteThanks for the Wallace & Gromit treat there at the end.
ReplyDelete*waggling raised arms with clenched fists* Cheese!
DeleteOMGosh I'm in love with that kitten pic!!! Big congrats Crystal! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pk, and a huge congrats to you as well!
DeleteOh yes, kids and puppies rarely translate into dinner;)
ReplyDeleteKids, puppies and computers, oh my!
DeleteHeh, so many ways not to make dinner. I practice them every night.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. =)
DeleteI'm guilty of all but the jumping in leaves. We are surrounded by pines, which drop the needles which are not much fun to jump in.
ReplyDelete*shudders* Well I'm surrounded by palm trees. .... .... .... Yup.
DeleteI don't play FarmVille, but there are other games on FB that are time sucks for me...
ReplyDeleteUm, I think you mean Facebook is a time suck. ;) --But a fun one.
DeleteThose are funny! And of course Crystal is too busy eating cheese!
ReplyDeleteOf COURSE, ;)
DeleteI will definitely check out Chrystal's blog.
ReplyDeleteMy newest distraction is my son's fault. He introduced me to Temple Run and now I can't stop playing. Please send help.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats to Crystal! Wishing her much gouda cheesy success on her novel. :))
*suppressing chuckle* You mean the game where you run and run and run and try not to crash into anything? Wait, shouldn't that be called "life?" ;)
DeleteThanks, L.G.!
YES YES YES to #1!!!
ReplyDeleteHee hee. Shall we have a cheese eating party, Stina?
DeleteLOL I cracked up about the IQ test. Guilty as charged. And I'd never say no to the puppy or to eating cheese.
ReplyDeleteOur weaknesses run deep. ;)
DeleteI have LOVED seeing Crystal around today! I'm so very excited for her and her work looks amazing. <3
ReplyDelete=)
DeleteExcellent suggestions. Replace Farmville by Solitaire for me ;)
ReplyDeleteWe all have a unique brand of poison, eh? (At least as far as time-sucks are concerned.)
DeleteHuh? What happened? Oh, my mind drifted again while I was eating cheese. Cute pics.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Well, we'll forgive you. As long as there's cheese involved...
DeleteLovely visual post today! Congratulations to Crystal!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thank you.
DeleteLove this! And that kitty with the ladybug is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI know! Makes me want to go get a kitty...if it weren't for allergies. Darn allergies.
DeleteThose are adorable! The kitten with the bug really cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteLOLCATZ are amazing, eh?
DeleteCongrats again, Crystal. And, yes, I have wasted a lot of time on those IQ tests.
ReplyDeleteGuess you have to get smarter than the IQ tests and learn to boycott them, eh? ;)
DeleteDinner can always wait when there's a puppy involved!
ReplyDeleteyup. any of these will definitely halt the process of dinner-making!

And nicely. =)
DeleteHaha, these are awesome and made my day! =) I can totally relate to Crystal's obsession with cheese... it just so good.
ReplyDeleteYou can say that again. =)
DeleteSuch a fun post. Thanks for the giggle.
ReplyDeleteAnna from Shout with Emaginette
Any time!
DeleteI don't play the game in number 3! I swear I don't...
ReplyDeleteI don't have time because I'm too busy with other games.
LOL. Well, to each their own. ;)
