Christmas is a mere two weeks away. There is much to do, many friends and family to spend time with, and a scary amount of shopping to conquer. Consequently, I'll be taking a blogging break for the rest of the year. I'll pop in occasionally, but not to post.
A big thank you to everyone for supporting me during my chaotic year of personal stuff, renovations, selling up house, buying a new place and moving interstate, all while releasing my debut devotional, Cling to God. Gasp, gasp, gasp.
If you are looking for a present to give someone, please consider, Cling to God, a book of short devotionals for every day of the year to encourage you in your faith, to help you think about your beliefs and learn more about God. Perfect for people with busy lifestyles.
Amazon Paperback, Amazon Kindle, Amazon Oz Kindle, Nook, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, iTunes, Goodreads.
What kind of Christmas will you be hoping for this year?
Edit: I almost forgot to post a pic of my tree again! Well, here it is! What's your tree like?
Wow! Love your tree! Happy Holidays Lynda!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Nas
DeleteI like your blue tree!
ReplyDeleteI've only one more most next week then I am taking a break as well. Merry Christmas and God Bless, Lynda.
And thanks for featuring CassaDawn in your sidebar.
You are most welcome!
DeleteMerry Christmas, Alex.
A.... a..... BLUE tree! I love it. Yes, I may be biased.
ReplyDeleteIt's not usually blue, but we got new lights for it this year and we do love blue lights (They just don't photograph well)
DeleteI know, Lynda. People always try to take a picture ofe but I tell them, "Don't bother. It's not gonna work." :)
DeleteThey don't>
DeleteAt least you agree you are a light
DeleteNow you know that you can handle a book release anytime, right?
ReplyDeleteOur main tree is a mish-mash of ornaments we've collected over the years. It's loaded chaos. Our other one is silver and red.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I love that: "Loaded chaos". Ours is a bit like that too.
DeleteGreat tree indeed. Hopefully a grand Christmas is had at your pad. We'll be relaxing away here too, but one will never know it at our zoo lol
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for a grand Christmas too--one of relaxation and chilling out with family.
DeleteLove the tree! Some years we go with a small palm tree or a small purple tree. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful holiday and enjoy the blogging break!
I love the idea of a palm tree as a Christmas tree. We used to have a pine tree in a pot but it grew too big for the room. The only time I had a live tree.
DeleteYour tree is beautiful! Have a Happy Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. Wishing you a merry Christmas too.
DeleteI agree, I believe your book would make an excellent gift. May you enjoy a blessed holiday with family and friends. Stay cool! :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks so much, Karen. Blessings to you over this Christmas season.
DeleteAnd yes, staying cool is definitely on the agenda.
Merry Christmas, pretty tree. We don't have ours up yet.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Juneta @ Writer's Gambit
No tree up yet? Oh no!! Go do it now! ;)
DeleteBeautiful tree really catches the eye. No tree at our house. Congrats again on your devotional.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sheena-kay
DeleteGreat gift idea! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your tree! Ours is reds and greens and an assortment of family 'treasures' - lots of fun!
Gotta love the treasures in those trees.
DeleteMy tree still has yet to be decorated! It's been that kind of year.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Lynda, and all the best in 2017. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
The only reason mine was done was because I had no idea where to store the thing in our new place, so we just put it up.
DeleteI;d probably replace the red balls on that tree with some blue and silver ones, maybe even blue and gold, it is too messy like that. I'm going chocolate brown this year for décor.
ReplyDeleteWe're too cheap to buy whole new baubles when the old ones are fine. Besides, I like the chaotic look. As long as it sparkles (which it does) then I'm good.
Deleteas long as cats have fun with it :)
Deletehahah yeah, when Corty was still around, we had to make sure the baubles weren't on the lower branches. And one year we had a cat who decided to climb the tree!! Yep, everything toppled over. It was messy but amusing.
DeleteDezzy is a proponent of blue balls. Should I be worried now or flattered? (Sorry, Lynda. I couldn't help myself.)
DeleteMy cat is always so hungry it could eat our tree.
DeleteMy Mongo would jump that tree, mistaking it for me. :))
Deleteyour Mongo sounds cute.
DeleteHappy New Year, Lynda! May it be a good one, filled to the brim with love, good health and.... creativity!
DeleteBlue
Happy New Year to you too, Blue. May it be the good shade of blue. The kind that glows with blessings and treasures.
DeleteThe tree looks very elegant with the blue lights and the drapery in the background -- and I love the ad for Cling to God! I've seen some Christmas themed ads for books, and I just decided to make some! Yours is far smarter, being simple and bold. Naturally, all my ads have a lot going on in them. Thanks for dropping by my blog. Of course I'll be showing you the covers and getting your super valuable feedback before I make the final mock-ups for the cover poll! You're my artistic guru, and I wouldn't make a move without you! Have a very Merry Christmas! <3
ReplyDeleteSimple and bold is the best way to go. And yay! I'm looking forward to seeing your covers. Have an awesome Christmas, Lexa.
DeleteMerry Christmas. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnna from elements of emaginette
Merry Christmas to you too, Anna.
DeleteOur tree is one we had to cut down anyway for fire mitigation. We saved it and are using it as a chrismtas tree. It's a little sparse, not the prettiest tree. But we figured why cut down a different tree when this one works?
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you!
DeleteGreat plan! I love that it went to good use! Merry Christmas, Sara.
DeleteLove your tree! I'm totally not into the Christmas spirit this year. I will be taking a break from blogging too I think. Hope you have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteAw, I hope your find the Christmas Spirit soon. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!
Deletefirst, loved your interview with Alex - and your thoughts on writing as a Christian are spot on, I totally feel the same way. I'm going to be writing a Christian Speculative Fiction soon, should be interesting on how it is received...
ReplyDeleteblue-tiful tree! and congrats on Cling to God!
also wanted to thank you for stopping by my Cradle Rock release tour at Juneta's blog! Merry Christmas!
"blue-tiful tree" hehehe clever. Love it.
DeleteI'll look forward to your Christian Spec Fic. Merry Christmas!
A good book for the season! And what a tree:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mark
DeleteLove your tree, Lyn. I hope all goes well in your adopted city. After being in Sydney, I appreciate Brissie more and more, LOL! I just got back to the beach to settle in for the holiday season. Got my tree up before I headed to Sydney.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! Happy Writerly New Year! (When I get a chance I'll review your book!)
Denise :-)
Yep, Brisbane is really special.
DeleteOh!! And thank you so much for the promise of a review. I really appreciate it!
Love your tree Lynda! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachna. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
DeleteMerry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLife has been busy/hectic/full around here so we just put our lights and the angel on our tree today. We hope to put up a few more decorations, but since the lights are my favorite part of Christmas, I feel like I've captured the Christmas joy this year! (Finally)
Yay!! So great to hear. I hope your Christmas was awesome and your New Year will be blessed.
DeleteYour tree is beautiful, Lynda. Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad. Enjoy your break.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joylene. Hope your Christmas was wonderful. Wishing you a happy New Year.
DeleteHappy holidays!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Vanessa. Happy New Year!
DeleteCongratulations on your book, Lynda! Wow! That's so exciting!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely Christmas! Your tree sure is beautiful!
