How many of you as a kid tried to chase a rainbow to its end?

I'm sure most of us tried to do that. I think I was more looking for the leprechaun to chase, though. ;D
I remember wishing we could find the end and that pot of gold more than once:)
I still chase for the end. :D
I actually have a pic of me standing under a rainbow :) and I noticed the rainbow only after the photo was developed in a photography shop. It was lovely.
We saw a full double rainbow last fall. It was incredible.
beautiful! can never get tired of seeing a rainbow!
Rainbows are so pretty!
Beautiful pics, Lynda! I think I have discovered what I love most about rainbows. In this age of everything on demand and you can have it as long as you want it...rainbows are anomalous to that mindset. They are unpredictable, and I can't recall a single time that people have failed to stop what they are doing to look at one when it appears. In my part of the world, when one appears, everyone still runs outside to see it. And I mean--they hurry, because rainbows are fleeting. It makes us treasure them and gives us a sense of appreciation for something we can't dictate.
What do you mean "as a kid"? We were supposed to stop when we grew up? :)
I just read about the science behind rainbows and they're even cooler now!
I do love rainbows! I always look for them after a storm.
Last summer we saw a triple bow! It was awesome!
*sigh* so pretty!

Beautiful!
Wow- I haven't seen a rainbow in a while. Once upon a time I would see a rainbow after every storm. I would run outside and just jump for joy! Nowdays they are hidden from site - at least mine.
Rainbows are so beautiful! I don't know when I'll see one again, so thank you for providing the beautiful photographs, Lynda!
Have a great weekend!

Rainbows are magic. Period.
Rainbows always take me to my happy, believe-in-magic place. These shots are beautiful!
I adore rainbows. :-)
They are awesome! I always imagine the lucky person at the end of that rainbow.
Rainbows continue to capture my imagination. Just saw a ripper over Coolum Beach. Lovely pics. Finally checked out the Bookshelf Muse. Awesome.

Ahhh, wonderful Lynda, Once when I was flying I captured a raindbow in its entirety...Until then I had never realized rainbows are complete circles...I was thrilled!
I chased rainbows with a shovel in hand, convinced that the pots of gold really did exist. I also believed my mother that eating bread crusts would give me curly hair. And to this day I swear I saw the sandman. Gullible much? Not me.
lovely photos!
Love it when those serendipitous shots happen. I'd love to see it.
Yeah, I always race out to look for the rainbow. I always feel blessed when I see one.
hehehe, well said!
wow! They are rare!
I hope you see a rainbow again soon.
They are? That would've been so amazing to see!
I'd show it you if a had a scanner to scan the pic :)
darn...foiled by a lack of technology.
You really captured them well. Beautiful! With the weather in Scotland, they are fairly common here. Always nice to see though!
