Too busy eating cheese.

Secretly, she dreams of world domination and a bottomless supply of cheese.

Thanks Lynda, for hosting!

I can relate to rather too many of these for comfort!

Love the cheese bit!
I tend to do that as i make dinner, then get asked why I'm not that hungry when we sit down to finally eat!

DEZMOND said...

you do know that piles of leaves usually hide kitten or dog poop, yes? :)

shelly said...

I'm always looking for ways to cook faster or do something else while dinner is cooking like reading and writing blogs. Something like that.

Hugs and chocolate,
Shelly

LOL! Decisions, decisions.

Emily R. King said...

I'm pretty sure I've done most of those. But that's what take-out is for! :)

Looking forward to your book, Crystal!

Crystal Collier said...

So you put off making dinner too, eh?

Who can resist the pup

Crystal Collier said...

But who can resist the cheese, right?

Crystal Collier said...

eReaders are amazing just for that reason.

Crystal Collier said...

Hee hee hee... (She doesn't know. No, she hasn't figured out our little secret of slowly addicting the entire world to cheese...)

Crystal Collier said...

Ha ha! You're the LolCatz procrastinator, eh? ;)

Crystal Collier said...

Thanks, Meradeth. They're just too awesome, all these amazing distractions, eh?

Crystal Collier said...

He was searching for the cheese. ;)

Crystal Collier said...

Thank you, Emily. --And I agree. Take out was made for us! (Writers, that is.)

Crystal Collier said...

You'd have to be stone cold, right?

Crystal Collier said...

Lynda, thank you so much for hosting me today. (Despite complications.) You are amazing.

Carol Kilgore said...

So cool! I may be guilty of all these.

Hi, Linda!

Susan Gourley/Kelley said...

The pretty, pretty books get me time and time again.

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

The last one is a great excuse! Wallace does know his cheese.

Sheena-kay Graham said...

Reading is definitely a great reason to leave dinner behind. My current Facebook game addiction is Royal Story. Hilarious list Crystal. Glad Lynda had you over.

DWei said...

Replace Farmville with Starcraft and we have my excuse.

Lynda R Young as Elle Cardy said...

lol, Dezzy. I take it you don't run amok through piles of leaves then ;)

Lynda R Young as Elle Cardy said...

hehe, you are most welcome :)

Starcraft (and Warcraft) massive time sinks.

The pics were a riot! (Lurv Lolcats!) I've entered the giveaway - I'd love both the books - they sound so marvelous!:-)

Nana Prah said...

That was an adorable post. Love the cat with the bug on it.

Loved it. Captioning pictures is one of my most favorite (and fun) things to do, and Top Ten lists make it all the funner. Yes, funner. Thanks, both of you!

Great ideas to make my husband order take out. Thanks! And congrats on your book.

Pam Williams said...

Cute post, Lynda! I could probably add to that list. My husband and I just had conversation about this topic yesterday. I am not fond of cooking! Thanks for the laughter!

Carol Riggs said...

LOL! Thanks, Crystal and Lyn for giving me some chuckles. Oh-so-true. CHEESE for everyone!!

The Armchair Squid said...

Thanks for the Wallace & Gromit treat there at the end.

PK HREZO said...

OMGosh I'm in love with that kitten pic!!! Big congrats Crystal! :D

Mark said...

Oh yes, kids and puppies rarely translate into dinner;)

S.P. Bowers said...

Heh, so many ways not to make dinner. I practice them every night.

Elizabeth Seckman said...

I'm guilty of all but the jumping in leaves. We are surrounded by pines, which drop the needles which are not much fun to jump in.

Robin said...

I don't play FarmVille, but there are other games on FB that are time sucks for me...

Sherry Ellis said...

Those are funny! And of course Crystal is too busy eating cheese!

JJ said...

I will definitely check out Chrystal's blog.

Luanne G. Smith said...

My newest distraction is my son's fault. He introduced me to Temple Run and now I can't stop playing. Please send help.

And congrats to Crystal! Wishing her much gouda cheesy success on her novel. :))

DEZMOND said...

I did a few times, before I learned my lesson and before I learned to read the smirks on my cats faces :)

Crystal Collier said...

Awesome!!!

Crystal Collier said...

Me too! But guess what!?! I discovered you can use...wait for it...AUDIO BOOKS while making dinner. *gasp*

Crystal Collier said...

It's all about the cheese. ;)

Crystal Collier said...

Me too! She's pretty awesome like that.

Crystal Collier said...

LOL! Here's the ironic thing. I don't actually play Farmville. My game of choice is Plants VS Zombies, but I guess that's an old trend. ;)

Crystal Collier said...

Here's putting in a plug for you with the god of randomness. ;)

Crystal Collier said...

Every time I see it I just want to rub its fur while chanting, "Fuzzy."

Crystal Collier said...

Why not funnerer? Or funnerest? ;)

Crystal Collier said...

Ha ha ha! That's right. I'll take Chinese tonight, thanks.

Crystal Collier said...

Are you buying? I'll bring the crackers. (Have to horde my own supply.) ;)

Crystal Collier said...

*waggling raised arms with clenched fists* Cheese!

Crystal Collier said...

Thank you, Pk, and a huge congrats to you as well!

Crystal Collier said...

Kids, puppies and computers, oh my!

Crystal Collier said...

You and me both. =)

Crystal Collier said...

*shudders* Well I'm surrounded by palm trees. .... .... .... Yup.

Crystal Collier said...

Um, I think you mean Facebook is a time suck. ;) --But a fun one.

Crystal Collier said...

Of COURSE, ;)

Crystal Collier said...

*suppressing chuckle* You mean the game where you run and run and run and try not to crash into anything? Wait, shouldn't that be called "life?" ;)

Thanks, L.G.!

Lynda R Young as Elle Cardy said...

my vote is for funnerer ;)

Lynda R Young as Elle Cardy said...

I tried Plant vs Zombies but I'm just not fast enough when everything gets chaotic on screen. Candy Crush is my current distraction.

Lynda R Young as Elle Cardy said...

Yeah, they do smirk, don't they... and they plot our deaths when we sleep at night too.

Stina said...

YES YES YES to #1!!!

Crystal Collier said...

Hee hee. Shall we have a cheese eating party, Stina?

Julie Flanders said...

LOL I cracked up about the IQ test. Guilty as charged. And I'd never say no to the puppy or to eating cheese.

Our weaknesses run deep. ;)

Those are adorable! The kitten with the bug really cracked me up!

cleemckenzie said...

Congrats again, Crystal. And, yes, I have wasted a lot of time on those IQ tests.

Libby said...

Dinner can always wait when there's a puppy involved!

Crystal Collier said...

We all have a unique brand of poison, eh? (At least as far as time-sucks are concerned.)

Crystal Collier said...

LOL! Well, we'll forgive you. As long as there's cheese involved...

Crystal Collier said...

Yay! Thank you.

Crystal Collier said...

I know! Makes me want to go get a kitty...if it weren't for allergies. Darn allergies.

Crystal Collier said...

LOLCATZ are amazing, eh?

Crystal Collier said...

Guess you have to get smarter than the IQ tests and learn to boycott them, eh? ;)

nutschell said...
